Action in Bulawayo Christian League resumes

ACTION in the Bulawayo Christian League (BCL) resumes tomorrow after a communication breakdown resulted in only one match being played last weekend in which Brethren-in-Christ Central beat Nkulumane Word of Life 4-2.

Zenzo Maphosa, Brethren-in-Christ Central captain, said their win last Saturday was encouraging and they would be hoping to build on it in tomorrow’s encounter against St Columba’s.

“Last week’s game changed our mood as a team. We’re now focused and aim to move into the top six,” said Maphosa.

He was confident of victory saying players that missed last week’s match through injury would be available for the St Columba’s clash.

Table toppers Sangano Revapostori host Word of Life Entumbane at Nketa 8 hall while House of Prayer Generation and Famona Tigers clash at Famona Municipal Grounds.

Famona Tigers are seventh on the table with 19 points from 15 matches while House of Prayer Generation are 11th with eight points from 12 games.

BCL administrator Fungai Mundofa said the fixtures not fulfilled last weekend would be rescheduled to a later date.

“We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused for last week’s miscommunication, but we’re trying to reschedule them to a later date that we have not yet decided,” said Mundofa.

He said most fixtures were disturbed by various church programmes that are normally held in August.
