PEDYO Kure drama series actress, Anastacia Masakura, was on cloud nine after graduating from Gwebi Agricultural College on Friday.
Better known as Melody, the actress, who now holds a Diploma in Agriculture, was among the 48 students who successfully completed their studies.
Anastacia told H-Metro she briefly stopped acting to pursue studies as a fall back plan.
“I took a break from acting to study agriculture since food gives health to the body,” said Anastacia.
“You cannot perform well when the body is weak so I decided to go for agriculture.
“We need food on the table and you perform well when you are in good health.
“I want to thank my husband for the support, my lecturers and the Government for showing us where wealth comes from,” said Anastacia.
A mother of two, Anastacia is ready to plough the land as well as adding value to her fans with laughter in the acting arena.
“Gwebi Agricultural College had become my home and I have fans here.
“My challenges were that other students were sometimes not taking me seriously when I needed help assuming that I was joking.
“The worst was when one of the students I respected most gave me wrong information when I asked for help.
“She thought I was making fun,” said Anastacia.
