Ade hits out at Gunners

LONDON. — Former Arsenal hitman Emmanuel Adebayor believes his old side are too reliant on star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. The Chile and German stars have become the two key men at the Emirates since their respective arrivals from Spanish football and are leading Arsene Wenger’s side in their title challenge this season.Alexis (28) has 14 Premier League goals and eight assists in his 21 games so far, while Ozil, also 28, has nine goals and seven assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.

Yet the futures of both players are currently up in the air, with the pair both having just less than 18 months left on their deals in north London, and with negotiations seemingly at an impasse.

Now Adebayor, who scored 62 goals in 142 games for the Gunners, believes his old side would have a big problem should either be unavailable for any period. — The Mirror.
