FORMER Scottland administrator Eve Kujinga, who died in a horror car crash last week, was laid to rest at Glenforest Memorial yesterday.
Scores of people from the local football fratenity converged at the cemetery to wave goodbye to the woman who was instrumental when the Scotts won the league title last season.
Images of her severely damaged truck have emerged and show that she had virtually no chance of survival.
She was on her way to Mutare, from her base in Harare, when the accident happened.
The champions are in mourning ahead of their first game of the season when they take on Dynamos in the Castle Challenge Cup at Rufaro on Sunday.
“Club president, Honourable Pedzai ‘Scott’ Sakupwanya and everyone at Scottland FC is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former administrator Evelyn Kujinga.
“Our deepest condolences are with Eve’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.”
ZIFA also released a statement.
“ZIFA extends its heartfelt condolences to the Scottland FC family following the passing of their Administrator, Eve Kujinga. Scottland FC has lost a dedicated servant of the game, and “Zimbabwean football has lost a committed administrator. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and the entire club during this difficult time. “May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
