Admiral Muskwe is still to secure a role in the First XI of English third-tier Exeter City where he has made just two substitute appearances totalling 23 minutes in their 12 matches to date.
On Saturday, Muskwe was introduced in the third minute of injury time as Exeter City suffered an agonising defeat at the hands of a late-winner as they lost 1-0 at home to Barnsley.
Exeter have one of the worst runs as they have lost four of their last five matches having only lost two of previous eight.
Three points from a possible 15 has left Exeter 11th and 12 points behind leaders Portsmouth who are unbeaten in 12 matches.
Two substitute roles in 12 matches is a disappointing statistic for 25-year-old Muskwe who could have been in the English Premier League following his team, Luton Town’s promotion.
He opted for League One, hoping for game time but the start has not gone according to his wishes.
Coach Gary Caldwell conceded that they have a lot of work to do.
“I’d have been disappointed with a 0-0. To throw it away shows where we are at the moment. Big moments cost us,” Gary said.
“We had a go. I think we can still play with more intensity but we did create some good opportunities, but always did look vulnerable in areas like that and concede a terrible goal at the end.
“We are causing ourselves our own problems. We have two weeks now to work hard on the training ground to put things right. We have to learn from it quickly and improve.
“We have to regroup and use the international break to recover and work hard. You don’t become a bad team overnight. We have gone against what we were doing early in the season. The realisation has to come that we have to be better.”
