A Bulilima Rural District councillor who was caught with an injivaa��s wife in her matrimonial bedroom hut has been fined two cows and was ordered to replace the bed they had sex on.
Councillor Benjamin Nleya (ABOVE) was caught on 31 December around midnight when the womana��s lover, Towelani Khupe, came home.
In a bid to conceal the affair Nleya squeezed himself into a wardrobe, while the wife at the centre of controversy, Sehlule Ncube, refused to open the door for her second lover.
That did not go down well with Towelani who banged the door until it opened resulting in a scuffle that woke neighbours.
Towelani and community members who had woken up found Nleya hiding in a wardrobe.
One of the community members reported the matter to the local headman, Hikwa.
While all the drama unfolded Tjakalisa Khupe, Ncubea��s husband, was in South Africa but received a call about his wifea��s shenanigans.
a�?I received a phone call that Nleya was caught in my matrimonial bedroom hut. I was also told that my wife was having another affair with another local boy (Towelani),a�? said Tjakalisa.
Upon arrival from South Africa, the aggrieved husband surrendered his matrimonial bed and wardrobe to Nleya.
For their alleged sexual sins Nleya and Towelani first appeared before local headman, Hikwa, following a complaint logded by the aggrieved husband.
Seeing that the matter was beyond his powers the headman referred the matter to Chief Mpini. In his initial appearance, Nleya dismissed the allegations as a ploy by villagers to tarnish his image.
Towelani ate a humble pie and apologised for his shenanigans and was duly forgiven by Tjakalisa.
Last Wednesday Nleya appeared before Chief Mpini facing adultery charges and pleaded guilty.
For the offence Chief Mpini fined him two cows, three goats and R3 000.
For the bed that they used for their sexual romps he was ordered to pay Tjakalisa $300.
Sehlule was ordered to pay two goats. .
