“We have chosen to put our focus on the medical faculty because we are in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare . . . we have been working much in nutrition and sanitation,” he said.
University of Zimbabwe Vice Chancellor (business development) Dr Takaruza Munyanyirwa, said medical books in Zimbabwe were expensive.
“Medical books and journals are very expensive and most of them are not available locally. . . it follows that this donation comes at an opportune moment. The books will provide our students with the relevant and quality learning resources, which will help the cause of the university library to provide access to quality scholarly information resources required to meet the learning teaching, research and also serving the needs of the university.” he said. ADRA finance administration director Mr Dibden Chileya said the books were worth US$20 000.
