THE Zimbabwe Volleyball Association will hold a Confederation of African Volleyball referees’ course at Prince Edward High School in Harare from 6-13 December. The course will be conducted by Ethiopian instructor Solomon Bekele. ZVA administrator Sibangane Mashasha in an interview yesterday confirmed the one-week event.

Mashasha said it is an open course for those who want to join the refereeing panel and those who want to know more about the game.
“This course is an open event, any one with passion for sport can join, especially those who want to join the referees’ panel,” said Mashasha.

He said the move would help in improving the sport’s standards in the country.
The registration is now in progress at ZVA offices in Harare.

Mashasha said those from outside the capital would have to deposit their registration fee into the ZVA account or send the money by Ecocash.
The course fee is pegged at $35.
