Africa’s Covid -19 recoveries surpasses 3 million mark

Over 3.4 million people have recovered from Covid -19 in Africa.

According to Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), as at 9 am on February 24, the continent recorded 3 844 799 cumulative cases, 102 097 deaths and 3 408 755 recoveries.

Southern Africa recorded 1 817 089 cases, 55 634 deaths and 1 670 218 recoveries.

On the other hand, Mozambique had a cumulative 56 595 cases, while deaths stood at 606 with 37 570 recoveries.

Namibia had 37 896 cumulative cases, 411 deaths and 35 419 recoveries.

In Zimbabwe, the country recorded a cumulative of 35 910 cases, 1 448 deaths and 32 288 recoveries.
