Africa’s insurance experts to converge at 23rd Reinsurance Forum in Namibia

WINDHOEK. — Namibia will host the Africa Insurance Organisation’s (AIO) 23rd Reinsurance Forum from September 30 to October 2, in the capital Windhoek.

The Insurance Institute of Namibia which hosts the event on Tuesday said the event will be attended by more than 300 insurance executives from the industry from across Africa and abroad.

The conference will be held under the theme: Building Resilience: The role of Insurers and Reinsurers. Namibia’s Finance Minister Calle Schlettwein and Ex-CEO of Google South Africa, a renowned entrepreneur and public speaker, Stafford Masie are among the delegates who will deliver high level addresses at the conference.

The AIO is a non-governmental organisation recognised by many African governments. Its main objectives are the promotion of inter-African co-operation and development of a healthy insurance and re-insurance industry in Africa. – Xinhua
