GOSPEL diva Agatha Murudzwa was humbled by the support she received at the launch of her 15th album titled Press On Volume 1.
The album launch, which coincided with her 20th anniversary in the game, was held at Radio Zimbabwe Courtyard.
Director for Media in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, George Chisoko, graced the event. “I can’t thank God enough for His favour and love,” she said.
“It was special a launch for me which coincided with the Women’s Month celebrations.
“I see the hand of the Lord as we are celebrating women who are doing a lot to change the lives of the people.
“In my case, I am using music to deliver the message in this Ministry and I am glad I have people testifying the good work I am doing.”
Agatha, who invited fellow artists – Mai Patai, Apostle Paul Sambo, Namatai Chinyerere, Ben Dzanamombe and Pastor Norest Matende – said unity was important in showbiz.
“It’s quite encouraging when fellow musicians take their time to be with us on this special occasion.
“I was really humbled by their support and love, which made this event a success.
“I have been longing for this kind of networking and synergies when local artists support each other as was the case today.”
Her album has 15 tracks which preach the eternal gospel of having faith in God, hope and love.
Some of the tracks to look forward to include Aripo, All is Well, Kwangu Musauye, Tinobuda, Paridza Jeso, Ndovimba Medley, Pora, Regerera, Vhumbamira and I’m Grateful.
After the Radio Zimbabwe Courtyard affair, Agatha is set to hold another in Mutare at Queens Hall on April 29.
