SEASONED gospel diva, Agatha Murudzwa, will launch her 15th album titled ‘‘Press On Volume One’’ at Radio Zimbabwe Courtyard today.
The album launch, which coincides with her 20th anniversary in the game, will culminate into a night of praise and worship.
It stars at 6pm and ends at 10pm.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Service Minister, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, is expected to be the guest of honour at the event.
Fellow artists, Mai Patai, Namatai Chinyerere, Ben Dzanamombe and Pastor Norest Matende, will provide cover.
Her album carries 15 tracks.
Some of the tracks to look forward to are Aripo, All Is Well, Kwangu Musauye, Tinobuda, Paridza Jeso, Ndovimba Medley, Pora, Regerera, Vhumbamira and I’m Grateful.
After the Radio Zimbabwe Courtyard affair, Agatha is set to hold another ceremony in Mutare at Queens Hall on April 29.
However, it is tonight’s launch, which is likely to set the tone for what to expect at the second leg of the event in the Eastern Highlands’ capital.
“All is now in place for the launch and we do expect our guests to attend our event and make it a success,” she said.
“We have invited fellow musicians, friends and our Information Minister and her Deputy to come and grace our occasion.
“I do promise my fans a fun-filled night. Surely, I can’t afford to disappoint on this big occasion and it is my prayer that everything goes according to plan.”
She said she was pressing ahead with plans to hold the same event in Mutare, her home city.
“Like I promised, there is nothing stopping me from holding a second launch at the end of April in Mutare.
“I would like to celebrate this event with my people and show them how I have matured from being a little girl to become a woman I am today.
“I want the launch to be lit since I will be coming home to celebrate this milestone with my people.
“I have always wanted to show my people that I still love them despite being a celebrity who is adored by many.”
