AGELESS KHAMA CHARMS TONDE

SCOTTLAND coach Tonderai Ndiraya says Khama Billiat’s industry is making a mockery of his age and the gaffer has been charmed by the star’s bag of tricks.

Billiat, who is set to turn 35 on August 19, ran the show once again before a party crowd at Rufaro on Sunday –  reducing Dynamos midfielders to spectators with his tricks and intelligence.

He helped Scottland claim maximum points which pushed them into second place on the Castle Lager Premiership table – three points behind leaders MWOS.

Billiat tormented his markers every time he had the ball at his feet.

Age does not seem to be catching up with the highest paid player in the top-flight league, at least for now.

“I’m really amazed by Khama Billiat, you wouldn’t believe he is 35-years-old. The way he’s been driving the team is just abnormal. I’m happy for him,” said Ndiraya.

“He is leading the way and showing the youngsters.

“I just hope they’ll emulate what he’s doing for us. He’s been like this since the start of the season.

“His energy is just something else. He didn’t have a good pre-season but now it’s coming through, and he’s a key member of our team.”

Ndiraya says he is very privileged to be in charge of Scottland and insisted every coach would want to be in his shoes.

“You want quality players to win games for you. If you look at our team, anyone can score, they just need to start clicking.

“You have Walter Musona, Billiat, Taimon Machope, Lynoth Chikuhwa, and Panashe Mutimbanyoka, once they start coming to form, you can expect us to have more goals.

“I’m a very privileged coach at the moment and I believe every coach would want to be in my position,” he said.
