discussing a new deal for the winger. This is despite Rusike having been named as a possible recipient of a future ban in the Asiagate scandal.
The 23-year-old has been at Ajax for the last three seasons, having signed as a teenager from Harare club CAPS United. He has been a consistent squad player although not always an automatic first choice. Ajax allowed Rusike to go for trials to Belgium before the start of the season but when they did not receive an offer for him decided to keep him.
Comitis said negotiations on a new contract could be concluded in the next weeks.
Rusike, however, faces a possible two-year ban from the game for his alleged part in the match -ixing scandal that has engulfed football in Zimbabwe.
According to Harare media reports Rusike is on a list of players to shortly be given bans for their part in the scandal.
This has however not yet been officially announced by the Zifa. — Supersport.com
