THERE can only be one sheriff in town!
Highlanders coach Erol Akbayas fuse blew and he had to tell the clubas technical director Cosmas a?Tsanoa? Zulu to zip it.
The short circuit happened at a recent Highlanders FC and Mutare City duel where the Bulawayo football giants lost 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium.
a?Allen Gahadzikwa was called to the touch line by Akbay who went on to give him instructions. Zulu rose from the bench and to interpret the instructions to Gahadzikwa, a development that did not go down well with Akbay who angrily shouted that Zulu should shut up,a? said one senior player.
Gahadzikwa joined Bosso during the mid-season transfer window period and he has gone on to shine for the black and white army despite their lacklustre performances in the second half of the season.
Zulu didnat deny the incident. Instead, he found positives out of it.
a?Itas healthy for us to argue as a technical team.A Players can even hear our arguments but we will not be fighting. I cannot just agree with a head coachas decision. I will need to give him my opinion with regards to a particular situation for us to achieve our intended goals,a? he said.
Last Sunday Bosso suffered their sixth consecutive defeat at the hands of bogey side ZPC Kariba who edged them 1-0.
Akbay admits they havenat had a fine run.
The club has so far collected one point from a possible 15 in the second half of the season. The development points to a poor success rate of 6, 1 percent ahead of their potentially explosive derby tie against How Mine on Sunday at Barbourfields.
