Alexio to unveil fifth album

new album at the end of next month.
The 13-track album titled “Tose” is a project laden with his traditional love and mellow songs like “Tose”, “Wadiwa” and “Chipo Changu” among others.
The artiste dedicated the song “Wadiwa” to his child whom he described as a blessing from God.
Kawara has been one of most consistent young musicians and the release of his fifth album is a sign that he has come of age since he burst on the scene with the group Guest at the turn of the century.
The artiste said people and the environment inspire him to come up with the lyrics for any particular song.
“I am not inspired by any particular musician but the environment around me and societal settings motivate my music,” he said.
Kawara added that it was his fans who distinguished good music from bad music. Kawara urged upcoming musicians to work hard and strive to produce quality music.
“I urge fellow musicians to spend more time in the studio and record music that is appreciated by fans,” he said.
Kawara is an Afro-fusion musician who has a couple of hit singles including the ever popular “Shaina” and “Tinodanana”, a duet with the talented but somewhat controversial Tererai Mugwadi.
He has not looked back since the time he released “Shaina”, which made him one of the most sought-after musicians in Zimbabwe. His soothing voice and cool, calm and collective character has made him a favourite of many especially the ladies. Born on November 28, 1978 Kawara graduated from being an urban groover when he transformed his music into a genre that is appreciated by a cross-section of listeners, both the young and old. As the fourth born in a family of five with all siblings being musically gifted Kawara came from humble beginnings, growing up in Harare’s Glen Norah township.
The young Alexio attended the local school, Shiriyedenga Primary School from 1985 to 1991, before progressing to Mazowe High School from 1991 to 1995, and Vainona High School for his A-Level.
His inherent love to serenade pulled him in the choir since primary school to A-Level, but not even in his wildest imagination did he think he would be a full-time musician. It was at Vainona High School that his passionate affair with music grew.
His first album was “Usazondisiya”, followed by “Rwiyo Rwangu”, released in 2003, then came “Pfimbi Yangu (My Secret Place)” in 2006 and his last release was “Kana” in 2008.
