Everything is set for Jeys Marabini’s 11th album launch, which will coincide with a show celebrating his 34-year journey in the creative industry.

The event, dubbed Friends of Jeys Marabini Live in Concert, will take place tomorrow at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music in Bulawayo. The star-studded line-up includes African music giant Steve Dyer, gospel maestro Pastor Barak, versatile artiste Mzoe 7, and talented songstress Thandy Dhlana.

Jeys Marabini’s new album, Nkemenkeme, was co-produced by Oktopas and features tracks such as Yini ulomona?, Mjolo, Ntanomuntu, and Nomakanjani, among others.

In an interview, Jeys Marabini expressed his excitement for the event, saying it will give fans a live taste of his latest work.

“I’ll be launching my new album, and we’re now in the final mixing stage while preparing with the band to deliver a spectacular event. I want to thank Mambazo for supporting me while I’m still here, and I’m grateful for the entire team working hard to ensure this is a success.”

The album, he shared, is a celebration of Afrocentric music that promotes culture, beliefs, and tradition.

“It’s full of songs about love, the beauty of nature, and life itself. I hope my fans embrace it and let the music flow in their minds,” he said.
