BEACH Soccer Zimbabwe have revealed that the country’s inaugural beach football tournament is set to take place on Saturday at Hampdens Amusement Park in Mt Hampden in the capital.
This ground-breaking event marks a significant milestone in the development of beach football in Zimbabwe.
Six teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament, which promises to be an exciting showcase of skill, speed, and teamwork.
“We are ecstatic to host the first-ever beach soccer tournament in Zimbabwe,” said Lleyn Mandaza, the Beach Soccer Zimbabwe Board Member.
“This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and the enthusiasm of our players.
“We are confident that this tournament will be a huge success and will pave the way for the growth of beach soccer in our country.”
The tournament will feature a round-robin format, followed by semi-finals and a final match.
“Beach Soccer Zimbabwe is committed to promoting the sport and providing opportunities for players to develop their skills and compete at the highest level,” said Mandaza.
“We believe that beach soccer has immense potential in Zimbabwe and we are dedicated to making it a prominent sport in our country,” Mandaza said.
