FINAL preparations are complete for Call to Worship Global’s 18th Anniversary Worship Night, with thousands of worshippers expected at Harare Gardens on Saturday (October 3).
The interdenominational gathering will run under the theme “Ishe Ngavavongwe” (Be Exalted, O God), drawn from Psalm 108:5, bringing together Christians from different churches, backgrounds and generations.
Co-founder Pastor Philip Pike said preparations began early this year, covering worship teams, choir rehearsals and event logistics.
“We are now ready for a powerful night of worship, and our prayer is that people will come with expectation and encounter God,” he said.
Founded in 2008 by Philip and Pastor Charlotte Pike as Call to Worship Zimbabwe, the ministry began as an annual gathering to unite churches. It later expanded into Call to Worship Global, offering worship training, outreach and leadership development.
Saturday’s programme will feature Minister Blessing Jeduthun, Oncemore Six, the AFM of Zimbabwe Worship Team and the Call to Worship Global Choir.
The choir, comprising more than 80 singers and instrumentalists from various Christian traditions, has rehearsed since March and will record four songs live at the event.
Choir director Vance Guwa said preparations had focused on musical excellence, unity and prayer.
“Our assignment is not to entertain people but to usher them into the presence of God,” he said.
Pastor Charlotte Pike said the ministry’s desire was for every attendee to encounter God personally through worship.
Supported by more than 200 pastors from different denominations, the celebration continues the ministry’s founding vision of uniting believers in worship and giving glory to God.
