All set for Chibuku Neshamwari national finals

scheduled for this weekend at the Harare Gardens.
The event starts at 12pm.
Last year’s reigning winners in traditional dance, Guruve Marimba Group, will grace this year’s finals and perform as a guest group.
Speaking on the preparations for the big day, Delta marketing manager Patricia Kudzai Murambinda said this year’s finals are going to be bigger and better.
“With the enthralling performances that saw 10 groups emerging winners from all provinces, I would like to say this year’s finals are going to be different.
“We promise that the groups we have are very good and entertaining. We are not going to allow our audience a moment of boredom as they are assured of non-stop entertainment,” Murambinda said. The groups will be battling for the US$9 000 prize money.
The first prize is US$4 000, second prize US$3 000 and the third prize will be US$2 000.
The provincial competitions were held from June 18 to August 13 in all of the country’s 10 provinces.
Competitors were showcasing their talent in different music and dance categories.
At each provincial competition, three groups were chosen.
Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival is not a new name in talent search shows in the country. It now shares the same status with Star Brite, Harare Has Got a Talent and Music Crossroads.
