THE bereaved families of Lyliosa Chirara and Dr Martin Muduva have amicably agreed to separate the couple for burial, according to relatives.

Dr Muduva, who was a Commissioner at the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC), will be laid to rest on Sunday at Murambinda in Buhera.

Some relatives of Lyliosa will remain with mourners in Dzivarasekwa before the nurse is buried on a date to be announced.

Mr Gift Muduva, a spokesperson for the Muduva family, confirmed the burial arrangements.

“Dzivarasekwa community and everyone here will be allowed to pay their last respects tomorrow (Saturday) before we take the body to Buhera for burial on Sunday,” Gift said.

“We will be furnished with further details pertaining the burial of his wife in due course,” he added.

Relatives close to both families told Zimpapers that Lyliosa is expected to be buried at her family home in Hwedza.

Dr Muduwa and Lyliosa met at Murambinda School, where they formed a relationship that later led to marriage about 14 years ago.

Lyliosa is alleged to have axed Dr Martin before taking her own life, leaving behind three children.
