“It is a breast cancer month so we seized the opportunity to raise awareness with a girls’ basketball tournament,” he said.
Mavunga said it would also be a great opportunity for young athletes to interact with doctors on site on how to take care of themselves and prevent breast cancer.
“There will be doctors to interact with students during the tournament, so it will be a great opportunity for students,” he said.
It will be a family fundraising day with a lot of activities taking place on site.
“Everyone is invited to watch the games, even men will have an opportunity to know about cancer, as well as support the good cause,” said Mavunga.
