High-riding contemporary musician Jah Prayzah will tomorrow be on the spotlight as he launches his 14th studio album “Ndini Mukudzeyi,” at the Old Hararians Sports Club.
The album has already generated significant buzz and is trending on social media, largely due to the popular Ibvo challenge that has seen widespread participation from socialites, celebrities, dedicated fans, and fellow musicians.
The full song of “Ibvo” is set to be released today with visuals on YouTube. “Friday 10 am everyone should go to YouTube. Ibvo full song and official video drops,” he said.
With the first phase of tickets sold out, Jah Prayzah will share the stage with artists like Feli Nandi, She Calaz, Culture Love, The Travellers Band, Nisha TS, Nyasha David, Godfather Templeman, C Skillz, DJ Iroq, DJ Lukie Dee and Shashl are some of the supporting acts who have been activated.
Earlier this week ‘Wagwizi’ sparked excitement among fans when he released a new song ahead of his highly anticipated album launch.
Titled “Kuno,” featuring a special appearance by Jah Prayzah’s daughter, Kayla and Tendaiishe Chitima the song gave fans a sneak peek into the album’s themes and sounds.
“Kuno” is a heartfelt offering from the upcoming album, speaking to love, legacy, and unbreakable bonds. Jah Prayzah described it as a powerful journey, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his music.
“This is the first full song released from the album, marking the beginning of a new and powerful journey,” he wrote on his page.
The new song has generated significant buzz, with fans praising Jah Prayzah’s innovative approach and his decision to feature his daughter on the track.
In preparation for the launch, Jah Prayzah has released other songs, including “Fambai Neni” and “Mandionei,” which are not part of the album. “A spiritual offering ahead of the “Ndini Mukudzeyi” album launch and World Tour. Although it is not part of the upcoming album, this heartfelt piece is a vocal example of Jah Prayzah’s beliefs, ‘everything’ we do begins with Prayer,” he said when he released the song “Fambai Neni” a week ago.
Over the years Jah Prayzah’s has released ma musical catalogue, which includes albums such as Rudo Nerunyararo (2007), Sungano (2010), Ngwarira Kuparara (2012), Tsviriyo (2013), Kumbumura Mhute (2014), Jerusarema (2015), Mdhara Vachauya (2016), Chitubu (2018), Hokoyo (2020), Gwara (2021), Chiremerera (2023) and Maita Baba (2023).
Wagwizi last album project was exactly two years ago when released double albums- “Chiremerera” and “Maita Baba”.
The two albums had songs such as “Nyeredzi,” “Bvumbamira,” “Wandibhowa” and “Maita Baba”, that left a huge mark on the local music scene.
After the launch, Jah Prayzah is set to tour the USA in Washington DC on July 4th, a federal holiday to celebrate America’s Independence.
He is billed to perform in Dallas on July 5th.
