Local artistes have been added to the line-up for the maiden performance of South African amapiano star Nkosazana Daughter (real name Nkosazana Nolwazi Kimberly Nzama), and have said they look forward to interact with the Sofa slahlane hitmaker.

The amapiano star is set to perform at Bulawayo Athletic Club (BAC) Leisure today at 2pm.

Local artists such as Asaph, Boy Nino, Khumz, Mzoe Seven and Skaiva have been added to the line up as supporting artists.

The much anticipated event is organised by 3D Events Management and Berthson Mdlongwa.

Nkosazana Daughter is arguably the hottest and sought-after female vocalist the Amapiano genre has ever seen.

Local acts performing alongside Nkosazana Daughter include Asaph, Boy Nino, DJ Khumz, Mzoe7 and DJ Skaiva.

Chronicle Showbiz caught up with the artistes who expressed happiness at the prospect of performing with Nkosazana Daughter.

Ginimbi hitmaker, Mzoe7 said it is a great idea to have the South African songstress as it ushers in the summer time.

“Summer time is here, looking forward to perform amongst the best of Zim’s lineup from Asaph to Skaiva, Boi Nino and everyone else. All these guys know how to start a party. Nkosazana daughter is a great vocalist by the way I am also looking into a possible collaboration with her, ” he said.

Award winning house producer, DJ Skaiva said he was ready to rock the stage.

“We are going to rock it. This is good that us house people are on the line-up, because originally Nkosazana performed house music, before she became an Amapiano household name. We look forward to linking up and doing collaborations,” said DJ Skaiva.

Organisers told Chronicle Showbiz that most of the times, international artistes only perform and leave without even getting to interact with local acts, something that Mdlongwa said is set to change.

“Nkosazana Daughter’s show will be like no other. Besides her touring the city, she will also get an opportunity to meet local acts for a possible feature.

“This is a rare opportunity that may be the kick start that may catapult one of our artistes into stardom.

She is targeting female artists and details on who she will be engaging will be availed in due course,” Mdlongwa said.
