The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) running from today – 23 to 27 April, is expected to be a hive of activities that are mainly aimed at fostering trade, investment and economic cooperation between Zimbabwe and other countries from Africa and the rest of the world.
This year’s exhibition theme “Innovation: The Catalyst to Industrialisation and Trade” will guide the discourses on all the activities that will be hosted on the week-long affair including the International Business Conference slated for 24 April.
Touted as Zimbabwe’s largest commercial assembly, the Business Conference will be officially opened by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga – at a platform that will allow attendees to discover the power of collaborations, entrepreneurship, industrialisation and trade in Zimbabwe.
The conference will have a high level panel including Cabinet Ministers and industry executives.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Honourable Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu is expected to deliver a speech on strategic investment and policy frameworks for fostering innovation driven industrialisation and trade.
Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development Amon Murwira will head a discussion on Education 5.0 on promoting industry-academia collaboration to support innovation, while Minister of Finance and Economic Development and Investment Promotion Mthuli Ncube will deliver a speech on climate change and its implications for industrialisation and trade.
Other speakers at the conference includes executives from Delta Corporation, Old Mutual CIMAS Zimbabwe, Seed Co International, Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, Zimbabwe Youth Council, as well as a delegate from the Embassy of the Republic of China.
Providence Moyo – a multi-award winning entrepreneur who founded Divine Pro Skin Care will testify with a successful story of her company which has played a pivotal role in driving industrialisation and promoting trade through her innovative business ventures.
