DR Rebecca Manford, a respected chartered accountant, multi award-winning business executive, Pan-African speaker and philanthropist, is set to headline a women business empowerment summit which will be held in Harare on October 21.
Running under the theme “Heroines of Faith,” the conference is being organised by the Billions Business Magazine.
Among the speakers are Dr Mejury Chipato, a medical doctor, microbiologist and a philanthropist who runs a multi-faceted business organisation.
She is also a pastor, life and business coach and a published author.
Dr Chipato’s book “I’m in Charge of My Narrative,” won a number of awards.
Among the accolades that Dr Chipato has scooped are Zimbabwean Achievers Award (Fashion Designer of the Year 2021 (China Edition).
She was also honoured as one of the most inspiring women in 2022 and she was also named A Young Achiever by the Pride of Africa Awards.
A philanthropist, Dr Chipato is the Founder of Patience of Hope Foundation, a non-profit organisation which pays school fees for orphans and underprivileged children in Zimbabwe and across Africa.
Attendees are also going to benefit from the expertise of Dr Sharon James, an old interior designer, fashion stylist and businesswoman.
She is the founder of Stylecabin Interiors and Inspired Women Zimbabwe.
Nichola Carr, a television personality, businessperson and former model will also make some presentaions.
Tariro Mushavaviri, the Founder of Billions Business Magazine, explained why she decided to host the summit.
“We organised this programme specifically for women in business and those that aspire to be entreprenuers so that they can benefit from the wealth of experience from our guests,” Mutyavaviri said.
Mutyavaviri said those that are going to attend the summit are set to benefit.
“The attendees will surely take their businesses to the next level. The speakers are experienced businesspersons who have seen it all,” added Mutyavaviri.
The Billions Business Magazine has featured such established businesspersons as Munyaradzi Gwatidzo, George “Billionare” Munengwa and Dr Manford among others in some of its editions.
