All roads lead to Mqombothi night club in Bulawayo’s Nkulumane 12 suburb this Sunday as the joint holds its annual “All White Braai Party” to mark the beginning of the festive season.
A number of the city’s best DJs and dance groups will gather in the high density suburb to party with revellers.
On the line up are DJs Nospa, Kead Wikead, Sweeto, Kananjo, Khumz, Phat Joe, Larose, Delroy, Josh, Zulu, Stones, Joe tha OF, Queen, Mzoe, Prince Eskhosini, Teflon, Ace, Lexx and Tick Tock. Dance groups will include Sungura Masters, Dynamite Chicks, Ziyawa Queens, True Jit Queens, Fusion Queens and Digital Queens from Harare.
One of the show organisers — DJ Sweeto said the party would be big as it is incorporating other major events like Zimdancehall artiste — Centre Party’s video shoot, a meeting of Bulawayo’s BMW and Altezza motor clubs and Sound Motion’s house sessions.
“The BMW and Altezza clubs will add that traditional Loxion vibe to our programme as they’re going to do some 360 turns and leave those skid marks that’ll show people how to party the Kasi way,” said Sweeto.
“Those who’ll come early and dressed in all white will get free braai packs. There’ll also be specials on selected whiskeys and drinks.”
Sweeto said the party was to thank Mqombothi patrons and those in the entertainment industry for supporting them during the year.
“In the entertainment industry it’s impossible for anyone to make it on their own, so we feel that we owe it to our fellow partners whom we’ve worked with during the year, hence the celebrations.”
DJ Sweeto said the response they got last year was overwhelming and they hoped to make this year’s party even bigger adding that all the activities would be recorded for a movie they are producing to relive the day.
