Alliance Health partner Mash Eagles

MASHONALAND Eagles Cricket Club have re-branded.

They have partnered Alliance Health, who have come on board with a sponsorship package, to the tune of US$19 000.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Harare Sports Club yesterday.

The team, which is known for winning major trophies on the domestic front, were handed a boost ahead of the local season, which is set to start soon.

They will be renamed Alliance Health Mashonaland Eagles Cricket Club.

Alliance Health managing director, Millicent Banda, who was part of ceremony to launch the partnership, said they were happy to be part of Mash Eagles.

“We are very excited to have the naming rights on the Mashonaland Eagles franchise, as the journey started back in 2020, when we started by sponsoring the travelling kits,’’ said Banda.

“This year, we have decided to take it further, by getting the naming rights to the franchise.

“The idea is to help nurture healthy communities.

“We have always been involved in sports, like BMX, and we are looking forward to working with Mash Eagles, for a long time.”

Mash Eagles senior player, Regis Chakabva, said they were delighted to get support from a corporate like Alliance Health.

He promised some good performances , as a way of appreciating the confidence invested in them by the company.

“These are exciting times for the club, as we now have someone to look forward to, in Alliance Health.

“As players, we are excited and we are now looking forward to the season.

“We appreciate them, for coming on board, and helping us, we are looking forward to a good season, as the coming on board of Alliance Health motivates us and we are looking forward, to a clean sweep.

“We are a winning team and having a partner even motivates us more,” said Chakabva.

Blessing Mahwire, Mash Eagles general manager, believes they have a lot to prove, after playing without a substantive sponsor, in the past few years.

“We are grateful to our new partner and I believe the relationship will go a long way.

“The partnership will result in exciting times ahead, we are re-branding and renaming, they have come on board and invested a nice sweet deal for us.

“They have taken on the senior teams, the development teams, and we discussed the deal with them, and they are keen on investing in our team, which is good.

“We have a solid team, which comprises of senior players and junior teams, which makes us evenly balanced.’’
