UPCOMING Amapiano musician, Calvin Mangena, appreciates the support he is getting from fans.

Calvin is based in Bulawayo and is a huge admirer of amapiano musicians.

In an interview with H-Metro, the 21-year-old was upbeat he will make it to the top.

“I started my musical journey in 2018 and that is when the flame in me was lit.

“I have never looked back ever since and it is now paying off.

“I dropped a track called Palesa, together with its visuals, and people have been liking it a lot,” he said.

He added:

“I have been playing around the comments section of the video and I am seeing a lot of responses from people.

“They think justice was done to the single and are providing me with great feedback that can help me in the future when making more music.”

Calvin was inspired to sing by his admiration of celebrity lives.

“Growing up, I always admired the way celebrities handled themselves.

“I loved the way they are loved by people and the attention they got from people, I admired that a lot.

“The satisfaction that I got, when I sang in church, inspired me to venture into the music sector.

“I can safely say it all began in church,” said Calvin.

The Amapiano artist has five singles to his name so far.

“Before I got signed under Soyld Factory, I released five singles.

“Three of these singles – Thelu’lwaz, Tora, Indlela – have been getting a lot of airplay,” he told H-Metro.

Calvin said the support he gets has been driving him on.

“My journey has been full of lessons.

“I have encountered a lot of disappointments and happy times but at the end of it all God has been blessing me.

“I am now under Soyld Factory and they have been supportive and not forgetting friends and family from all over,” he said.

The artist promised to have more music dropped before the year ends.
