AMH publisher Rita Chinyoka wasn’t fired

On July 17, 2015, we published a story in which we claimed Rita Chinyoka was fired from her position as Publisher of Alpha Media Holdings. The story was published based on information provided by a source, which has turned out to be untrue and all the claims we made therein could not be substantiated and are false.

Zimpapers and The Herald hereby retract the story and unequivocally apologise to Ms Chinyoka for the distress, embarrassment and damage caused to her reputation, person and career.

We further acknowledge that due care should have been taken to verify the story before publication and would like to assure Ms Chinyoka that there was no malice intended and sincerely wish her the best for the future. — Editor.
