All-Africa Games final qualifier, second leg tie at Rufaro tomorrow.
The national Under-23 team are hoping to overturn a 2-0 defeat from the first leg in Daveyton and Amin, the leader of the troops, believes they have to win by more than three clear goals at all costs.
Amin, the Gunners leftback, was in a relaxed mood yesterday but said they were ready for one final huge leap.
“I think we went down in South Africa in the first leg but certainly we are not yet out.
“The game in South Africa was like the first half and on Sunday we should do well to win the second part,” said Amin.
The talented leftback said most of the players failed to come to the party in South Africa, resulting in a disappointing result.
“I think we did not play our usual game in the first leg.
“We might say a lot of things but the honest truth is that we did not play well save for the goalkeeper (Ariel Sibanda).
“But for this game the guys are prepared and we should be finishing off well.
“Everyone is focused on the game,” said Amin.
Amin said the South Africans strive on pace but the Young Warriors were prepared to deal with that.
The Young Warriors were boosted by the arrival of midfielder Archie Gutu, who joined the team on Thursday night.
Gutu missed the last game in South Africa as he was serving out a two-match suspension for a red card.
He joined his teammates in training late after undergoing trials with SuperSport United in South Africa.
Jomo Cosmos striker Matthew Rusike, who had been down with a bout of flu, trained with the side yesterday and is now available for selection.
Young Warriors coach Friday Phiri yesterday said chief striker Simba Sithole had been ruled out after he failed to travel from South Africa.
Defender Knowledge Machona is injured while Devon Chafa was expelled in the reverse fixture.
“The guys who are in the team know the task at hand and they are raring to go.
“We did not play well in South Africa and it was just not our day,” said Phiri.
Phiri said they gave Amaglug-glug too much respect in the first leg.
“We lost concentration and we were poor in marking and we easily lost possession.
“But we have worked on those shortcomings and everyone should be okay,” said Phiri.
The South Africans arrived in Zimbabwe on Thursday and their coach Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba remains confident that they will progress to the finals in Mozambique.
Bongani Ndulula, who scored a brace in Daveyton two weeks ago, and is hopeful of finding the net again at Rufaro.
“They will not beat us.
“Our plan is to go out there and get an early goal, that is the only way to demoralise Zimbabwe,” Ndulula told the Sowetan newspaper.
Ndulula is, however, aware that Zimbabwe will be tough opponents at home.
“We have one foot on a plane to Mozambique and we are not going to fluff our strong chances of playing in the 2011 All-Africa Games.
“Our preparations have gone very well back home and we expect a tough match because Zimbabwe have some pretty good youngsters.
“We have a lot of respect for them but they won’t beat us.” Ndulula, the Orlando Pirates forward, is turning into a big star in South African football after he equalled goalscoring the record, at youth level, held by Siyabonga Nomvethe. Mashaba is also upbeat about their chances
“We are going there with one thing in mind to win this match and we are capable of achieving this feat,” said Mashaba.
