Ancestral worship divides church

Nhlalwenhle Ncube . .

a?We the undersigned members of CTAC express our displeasure at the behaviour of the said Prophet Njabulo Ngwenya.

a?He is not a member of our organisation and has his own which is based at Sikhulile High. Let him concentrate on his church and leave us in peace. We do not want his presence wherever we are,a? read the signed petition.

One of the senior pastors said that they condemned the behaviour of Prophet Ngwenya as it ignited violence at church.

a?I am opposed to the worship of ancestral spirits as an apostle. I am against idolatry which he practises in full view of congregants as supported by videos and audio recordings in one of the services. This is infringement of our rights as a church.

a?We request the courts to stop the so-called prophet from disturbing our services and he must concentrate on his church,a? said Pastor Moyo.

Western commonage magistrate Tancy Dube dismissed the matter saying the party should seek recourse at the High Court.
