ANDY Muridzo has set the record straight after fake posters that he would be performing in South Africa went viral on social media.

The fake posters indicated that he was set to perform in South Africa tomorrow.

He wrote a disclaimer on his Facebook page, which reads:

“As Andy Muridzo & Jeetaz Band, it has come to our attention that there are fake posters circulating purporting us to be performing in South Africa over the weekend.

“We wish to notify our esteemed fans to disregard the fake posters as we are not part of the said musical events. We did not engage the event organisers in any way and therefore we will not be participating.”

He said that he was still scheduled for his welcome back party.

“Our Welcome back party from UK scheduled for Saturday 21 January at Bar Rouge is proceeding as advised, so see you there,” he said.

Andy Muridzo is one of the artists who have not stopped holding shows in January.

Most artists from the mainstream music industry normally go on annual leave in January since most of their fans will be financially drained after over spending during the festive season.
