However, Prophet Angel did not have to field any questions but Mataz, who is the head of programming, said there were plans to interview the Spirit Embassy founder at a later date.
“We are hoping to have an interview with Prophet Angel soon. We have invited different personalities to talk about whatever they are involved in, be it business or music,” Mataz said.
Star FM, which broadcasts on 89.7Mhz in Harare and 93.1Mhz in Bulawayo and the surrounding areas, has become an instant hit on the airwaves with vibrant presenters although critics described it as an extension of Power FM.
One of the biggest criticisms is that Star FM should have introduced new faces and voices rather than rope in familiar voices from Power FM.

According to Mataz, both stations are urban but differed in the quality of programming.
“We (Star FM) are an urban radio and so is Power FM. However, we offer quality and professional programming as well as depth all the time. Of course, the similarity in voices is because we are a result of the opportunity that we were given on Power FM which was the only urban radio station at the time.
“For instance, if you hear my voice, you are reminded of Power FM because you only ever heard me on Power FM but we are distinctly different in terms of programming,” he said.
The station boasts youthful presenters among them Shingai Mokina, Layan Souljah, who is Winky D’s younger brother, Black Bird as well as Munyaradzi Milimo and Leander Kandiero, both former Power FM DJs.
