A fugitive former Zanu-PF youth league Harare province executive member from Dzivarasekwa, Rangarirai Chinyanganya has been expelled from the party as it continues to rid itself of elements associated with the G40-cabal.

Mr Chinyanganya is believed to have skipped the country after attempts by the then faction of the ruling party commonly known as the G40 tried to take over State authority taking advantage of former President Mugabe’s old age.

Their shenanigans were however, thwarted in a popular uprising dubbed Operation Restore Legacy backed by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces in November 2017.

Impeccable sources at the party’s provincial headquarters confirmed the development saying more heads would roll.

“It’s true that he has been expelled, this follows a resolution reached by the provincial youth league executive to cleanse the party of remnants of the G4O cabal.

“He (Chinyanganya) was instrumental in setting up the G4O structures using his base as a teacher at a local academy (name supplied) in Dzivarasekwa and went into hiding when their attempts were exposed.

“He could also be running away for fear of prosecution like what has happened to some senior members of the G40 faction who have been arrested and brought before the courts. We expect more heads to roll as the party rids itself of the G40 elements,” the source who declined to be named said.

Harare youth Chairperson Cde Godwin Gomwe was evasive when contacted for comment.

“I can only talk to you after communicating or decision with the party leadership,” he said.

The G40 faction was behind the infamous ‘Meet the People” rallies conducted by the former First Lady Mugabe where she publicly humiliated senior Zanu PF members and other Government officials.

Several former G40 members including have skipped borders after their attempts were foiled.
