Another Mukuru Money Transfer agency robbed

Armed robbers fired a warning shot in the air and got away with a yet-to-be-established amount of money from a Mukuru Money Transfer agency at Kamunhu Shopping Centre in Mabvuku this afternoon.

Shoppers and vendors lay down for cover and witnessed the robbers speeding away in their getaway car.

The robbers were covering their faces with balaclavas.

“We became suspicious when we saw two men with their faces covered. Within a minute we heard a gunshot and the drama unfolded,” said one of the eye witnesses who preferred anonymity.

The robbery, targeting Mukuru Money Transfer agencies, is the second one within a week.
