Another artiste has risen in the artistically talented Mungoshi family. Veteran author Charles Mungoshi’s nephew Tinashe aka Tash Manhizze, has ventured onto the music scene and will release his first single “Tsvarakadenga” today. “Tsvarakadenga” was inspired by his admiration of beautiful African women who are in our country.“I was inspired to write the track by the beautiful African women that we have and they are queens and should be treated as such. They are the pride of the continent,” Mungoshi said.
“The motivation also comes from the women who are confident about themselves hence do not want to be looked down on.”
The release will coincide with his birthday celebrations as the young man turns 23 today.
The song was recorded at his ZiTribe Production stable were he doubles as a producer and vocal artiste.
Mungoshi said that he is taking after his father, uncle and cousins (Farai and Charles junior) to get into the arts industry.
“I take the baton from my dad. My father (Joseph) was a producer but it is just unfortunate that back then music was considered to be a profession that brought with it curses hence he left the trade having worked with people like Busi Ncube.
“He was doing that as part time and still he did not make anything out of it. I have made a decision to take music part time and continue from where my father left.”
He produced a song for last year’s edition of the paDandaro Braai Festival that featured artistes such as Willis Watafi, Roki, Edith WeUtonga, and Taurai Mandebvu.
“To register my significance, this year I am releasing my debut album, ‘Inception’. The album will be my entry statement because I want to be among the best music producers who can inspire a generation.”
