Another nervous wait for Courtney Lock

Sports Reporter

YESTERDAY’S much-awaited Davis Cup World Group II play-off decider between Courtney Lock and Ignacio Carou of Uruguay was postponed to today due to rains.

The match is slated for Harare Sports Club at 11am and Courtney shoulders the heavy responsibility of keeping Zimbabwe in the World Group II.

The tie is balanced at 2-2 and today’s match is the decider.

Pressure is mounting on Courtney, who replaced the injured Mehluli Sibanda.

Zimbabwe lost the doubles match when Benjamin and Courtney lost 2-6, 4-6 to Martin Cuevas and Ariel Behar.

Should Courtney lose today’s match, Zimbabwe will play in the relegation play-off to retain their place in the World Group ll.
