Another night in prison for Sonja and mother

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s ex-wife, Sonja Louise Madzikanda, and her mother, Tabitha Madzikanda, will spend another night in prison following indications that the presiding magistrate, Ms Nyaradzo Manokore, is not feeling well.

Yesterday, the pair appeared before Ms Manokore for contravening cyber laws.

Their lawyer, Mr Rungano Mahuni, said his clients are denying the charges.

He argued that there are no compelling reasons not to grant them bail.

The matter has been rolled over to tomorrow.
