Armed gangs kill seven Syrian troops

A major and two warrant officers were among the killed  troops, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Sunday.
Syrian security forces also clashed with an armed group in Homs on Saturday, arresting a number of terrorists. The              group’s leader was killed along with some other members of the gang.

The armed group leader had been accused of “committing murder and abduction, blocking highways, and terrorising citizens.”
In addition, armed terrorists stormed a house in the Maraba village in the southwestern province of Daraa on Saturday, killing the owner and injuring his wife, according to SANA.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March, with demonstrations being held both against and in favour of President Bashar al-Assad.
Damascus blames “outlaws, saboteurs and armed terrorist groups” for the unrest, saying it is being orchestrated from abroad.

In interviews with Israeli news outlets over the past few months, the Syrian opposition members have “clearly expressed their vision for the future of Syria and their interest in establishing relations with the Tel Aviv regime,” according to informed sources in Syria.

This comes while Syrian people have repeatedly expressed solidarity with the government over the past weeks.
On Saturday, supporters of President Assad held a demonstration in front of the Saudi and Qatari embassies in the French capital, Paris, criticising the “interference of foreign governments into Syria’s internal affairs.”  — Presstv.
