Armed robbers at large after stealing $20,000 and attacking shop employees

SIX armed robbers are on the run after they allegedly attacked three shop employees at a wholesale and stole US$20 000 along with their phones.

In a statement, police said the robbery occurred around 12:20 am at Rosa Business Centre, Chiweshe in Mashonaland Central Province on 13 March 2024.

Police appealed for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.

“Police in Chiweshe are appealing for information that may assist in the investigation of a case of robbery which occurred on 13/03/24 at around 0020 hours at a wholesale shop at Rosa Business Centre. Six unknown suspects who were armed with a pistol attacked three shop employees before stealing US$20 000 cash and three cellphones. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” reads the statement.
