WARRIORS coach Ramón Catalá has named his final 24-man squad for the back-to-back 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Equatorial Guinea, with Highlanders goalkeeper Aron Ngwenya among those selected.
Catalá has trimmed his provisional squad as Zimbabwe prepare for two important encounters against Equatorial Guinea in their quest to secure qualification for the continental showpiece.
Ngwenya is one of four goalkeepers selected, while Hardrock defender Tinotenda Muringai also makes the final cut.
The squad combines locally based players and Zimbabwean footballers based abroad, with established internationals such as Marshall Munetsi, Marvelous Nakamba, Andy Rinomhota and Jordan Zemura providing experience.
The attacking department includes Tawanda Maswanhise, Tawanda Chirewa, Bill Antonio, Daniel Msendami, Tinotenda Kadewere and Thando Ngwenya.
Scottland have a notable presence in the squad, with Nelson Chadya, Kelvin Moyo, Peter Muduhwa, Emmanuel Jalai, Abubakar Moffat and Mthokozisi Msebe earning selection.
The Warriors will be hoping to collect positive results from the two encounters as they continue their campaign for a place at the 2027 AFCON finals.
