Arsenal after Gabriel

LONDON. — Arsenal have launched an “official” bid to land Gabriel Barbosa in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Gabriel has scored 54 goals in 148 appearances for Santos since making his debut for the Brazilian outfit back in 2013 but the 19-year-old is now being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates.

ESPN Brazil suggest the Gunners have made an “official move” for the highly-rated forward who is keen on signing for the north London club.

However, Gabriel is believed to be anxious over the work permit implications of the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union. — Metro.
