adminLONDON. — Arsenal have been charged by the Football Association with allegedly breaching football agents regulations over the transfer of Calum Chambers from Southampton.
Agent Alan Middleton has also been charged for allegedly breaching the regulations in relation to the transfer and has until June 17 to respond.
Arsenal have until June 26 to respond after they requested more time. Defender Chambers (20) joined the Gunners for about £16m in July 2014. He made 36 appearances for Arsenal last season as he helped them finish third in the Premier League.
Chambers is part of the England Under-21 squad for the European Championships in the Czech Republic, starting on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have signed Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on a free transfer after personal terms were agreed.
The Hungary international (27) will join the Premier League club on July 1 when his Bolton contract expires.
Bogdan made 120 appearances for the Championship side after signing for the Trotters in 2007. — BBC Sport.
