LONDON. — Arsene Wenger is scared of the day he announces his retirement from football as he approaches 20 years as Arsenal manager. The French manager joined the Gunners in 1996 and has won three English Premier League soccer titles and six FA Cups in his time in North London. Wenger candidly admitted, in an interview with Alan Curbishly for the new book Game Changers , that he fears the day it will all end.“It’s been my life and, honestly, I’m quite scared of the day,” Wenger revealed. The longer I wait, the more difficult it will be and the more difficult it will be to lose the addiction.
“It’s an emptiness in your life, especially when you’ve lived your whole life waiting for the next game and trying to win it.”
Wenger is still searching for another title after last claiming the Premier League in 2004. — The Mirror.
