adminDJ CLEO’s production company, Will of Steel Productions, is now a one-man show. This is after his artistes left him one after the other. It is alleged Thabo Lepheane, aka “DJ Soul T”, followed other artistes like Dumisani Makhanya, aka “Bleksem”, DJ Mlungu, and the Teddy Bears, who have all dumped DJ Cleo, real name Tlou Cleopas Monyepao.
DJ Soul T who was reported to have left the stable because of DJ Cleo’s alleged greed dismissed claims that he left under a dark cloud.
“I left the stable and I’m waiting for digital royalties from that label,” said DJ Soul T.
A source close to the situation claimed: “DJ Cleo’s demands are outrageous. He didn’t do anything to the song Hlokoloza, but only dropped vocals.
“That was unfair to DJ Soul T. Imagine all his hard work for peanuts.”
Another source claimed: “What drove DJ Soul T away was DJ Cleo wanted all the attention to be on him. He’s greedy and doesn’t think anyone can succeed without him.”
Kheso Dube from the Teddy Bears said: “If you disagree over something, DJ Cleo tells you he’s the king of the castle. And if you don’t comply with his rules, go build your own.”
Bleksem refused to comment on the issue while DJ Cleo’s phone went unanswered and he did not respond to messages. — DailySun.
