WHEN Kelvin Kaindu changed his outfit at halftime against Jordan Sinnot FC in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup at Luveve Stadium a week ago,many read that as a fashion statement.
Far from it, there was more to that change, it was symbolic.
It was a show of confidence, representative of the general feeling in the Hardrock camp.
On Saturday, there was no wardrobe change by Kaindu but a different kind of change as Hardrock eased past TelOne to a 4-1 victory at Chahwanda Stadium.

Premier Soccer League title race shifted into another gear.
They narrowed the gap between Scottland and themselves to just one point.
Scottland leads the race with 58 points while Hardrock are on 57 with six matches to go.
Crucially for Hardrock, there seems to be a different aura in their team, a feel good factor amongst the players and staff.
Kaindu has drifted from the ‘we are a new team mentality’ he now sees the promised land more than just a dream.
The Kwekwe side have won their last eight matches in all competitions, and five in the league.
Kaindu exuded confidence in his post match media duties as he spoke about the title race.
“We are not focusing on how Scottland are playing I have always said this, it just gives us an advantage, we keep narrowing the gap,” said the Zambian mentor.
“We want to stay consistent, we have won eight matches in a row and we want to keep that momentum.”
It gets tougher at this stage, the title run in always has a twist in the tale.
Hardrock will have a run of difficult fixtures in their last six matches that will see them play giants
Highlanders and Dynamos.
There are also tricky fixtures against Bulawayo Chiefs, MWOS, Simba Bhora and FC Platinum.
League matches will only resume a fortnight from now when Kaindu leads his men against
Highlanders at Babourfields Stadium.
Kaindu is very calm and feels Scottland are the ones who are feeling the heat.
“The team that has pressure is Scottland, of course we have games that we have to play against
Highlanders and Dynamos, the next game we will play is against Highlanders
For us if we can keep the momentum and hopefully we do not drop our form, the good thing is that anyone can give us goals in this team,” said the Zambian as he threw that gauntlet at Scottland.
