Various artistes entertained thousands who converged at the National Sports Stadium for the Easter gathering dubbed “Judgment Night 2” held over the weekend.
The event was organised by Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa of the United Family International Church.
The entertainment show was kick started by Pastor Hubert Chigumira.
Tinashe Magacha excited fans with his collaborative track “Huyai Mose”. He later sang his popular tracks “Takaipa Takaipa”, “Ndiina Jeso” and “Weminana”.
Pastor G took over thrilled with his hits “Mabiribobi” and “Vanhu Vose”.
One of the upcoming dance troupes, Ses’fikile stunned many with their well-choreographed dances and comic acts.
The merry-making mood continued when high-riding musicians Mathias Mhere and Sebastian Magacha took to the stage.
Mhere sang “Favour”, “Vimba naJehovha” and “Chipostora”.
Magacha delighted fans with his popular songs “Back to Sender”, “Satani Imbavha”, “1+1” while Joyce Simeti performed her latest single titled “Judgment” amongst other songs.
First gospel couple Pastor Charles Charamba and his wife Olivia gave a spirited performance that ushered fans into Easter with their songs such as “Buruka”,
“Ndakaurayisa Jesu”.
They later left the stage for award-winning South African gospel singer Deborah Fraser who put up an excellent performance.
In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Deborah said she was humbled to be invited.
“I last came to perform in Zimbabwe two years ago and I want to thank the prophet of God for inviting me here. I have never performed at such a big event like this one,indeed God is with this nation,” she said.
Some of the songs she did include “Thapelo”, “Ncwele”, and “Jonah” which some of the fans were singing along, regardless of language barrier.
To close the line up was Hlengiwe who set the whole stadium into worshipping mood.
The “Living Waters” hit maker said she was in great awe to perform at the event and openly declared that she will remain a spiritual daughter of Prophet Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa.
“I’m no longer a visitor here because Zimbabwe is now my home.
“When I strongly believe in something I stick to it and it is not a secret that Prophet Makandiwa is my spiritual father no one can change that. It doesn’t matter what you can write about me on social networks,” she said.
Other local artistes that performed include Mudiwa “Hood’’ Mtandwa, Prime Minister, UFIC Choir, Leonard Zhakata, Gospel Power and Diva Mafunga.
