Topping the list was Amara Brown who managed to impress the crowd and left them asking for more.
The musician gave a lively performance of her songs and that of her departed father, Andy “Muzukuru” Brown.
However, it was the song of Jamaican star Jboog’s “Let’s Do it Again,” that she performed to perfection.
Amara proved to be the crowd’s favourite and even got a heads up from Media, Information and Publicity Minister who was guest of honour at the show.
“In Amara we are seeing continuity of her father’s legacy and I commend her for raising the bar and taking it to the next level. With the right guidance she is set to make waves internationally” he said.
It was easy to see that she meant business as she was dressed for action in green shorts, a blazer and high heeled boots.
One could not help but wonder how she defied odds and danced wildly in the shoes proving she is not only vocally powerful but is a great dancer too.
South African based Nox, real name Enoch Guni also dished out a few tricks that he has learnt down south.
He got the crowd from different ages screaming with his hit song “Ndinonyara” which has proved to be a favourite of people of all ages. His lively performance was as a result of his newly assembled live band that he will be using for shows.
Nox was quick to point out that bands are the way to go.
“Live bands are the new trend and I am proud to be one of the few urban grooves artistes to have them.”
Other artistes that managed to live up to their names were Suluman Chimbetu who managed to impress a crowd of mainly youngsters that had been sent into party mood by Winky D. Suluman was clever enough to start off his performance with his father’s tried and tested number, “Dzandipedza Mafuta” that kept the crowd on its feet even when he started throwing his own.
