Jah Master has joined forces with fellow artists in a song Magamba aimed at honouring the country’s heroes, who fought for the country’s independence.
The artists under, RealNass Productions include Khonangale, Lady P, and T Flex, who dropped the song as the country commemorates the country’s heroes, who fought for the country’s independence.
The song’s release coincides with Heroes’ Day commemorations across the country. “Magamba” is a high-energy track that blends traditional Zimbabwean rhythms with modern Zimdancehall beats.
Award-winning, Jah Master said he joined forces with his fellow artists as part of creating a memorable and impactful song that resonates with the nation.
“The song is our way of saying thank you to our heroes,” Jah Master explained in an interview.
“We want to keep their memory alive and inspire the younger generation to appreciate the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.”
The lyrics, delivered in a mix of Shona and Ndebele, pay homage to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom.
The song’s title, “Magamba”, means “heroes” in English, and the artists’ powerful vocals bring the message home.
As Zimbabweans come together to remember and celebrate their heroes, “Magamba” serves as a reminder of the country’s rich history and the struggles that paved the way for independence. The song is a testament to the power of music in honouring the past and inspiring future generations.
Meanwhile, all roads lead to Bikita for the Heroes and Defence Forces music Gala to be held at Gwindingwi secondary school in Bikika, Masvingo province on August 15 (Thursday). Top artists from across the country will perform, including the likes of DJ Fantam, Madlela Skhobokhobo (pictured), Andy Muridzo, and Jah Master, among others. (H Metro/B Metro)
